This project is a long time coming. For the longest time I have been meaning to make a 35, 120, or large format camera. Several test prints of a large format camera were made months ago, but the use of ABS caused a lot of shrinking mid print. This resulted in cracked shells making the body not light proof, and the project was shelved.

Come around 2017 and I have decided to give it another go. This time a body for 35mm film was made as to reduce the elongated broad surfaces you’d find when replicating a large format cameras bellow. Also this will allow for quick and local developing of the film to allow for quicker iterations of the camera.

The lens will most likely come from a large format camera as this type will be easy to implement in the design.

The current design is made for a 0.2 pinhole lens at 30mm focal length. A spring loaded shutter is integrated in the front of the camera’s body.
